Abstract

Over the past few decades, private higher education in China has experienced rapid growth and has become an essential component of the country's higher education system. However, Chinese private universities face several challenges, including lower teaching quality compared to public institutions, difficulties with student enrollment, and significant financial pressure. To address these issues, it is vital for private universities to enhance their educational quality and, in turn, improve their social reputation. A key factor in improving educational quality is enhancing the performance of teachers. Therefore, this study aims to examine the factors influencing teacher performance in private universities in Shandong Province.
