Abstract

To respond to the demand for talent needs brought about by globalization, higher education institutions must integrate international, intercultural, and global perspectives into curriculum, and purposefully train graduates to become internationally-minded and globally competent individuals. However, current research has not reached a consensus on the connotations of global competence, and the internationalization efforts of higher education institutions are scattered and ineffective. Therefore, this study aims to identify the elements and definition of global competence among Chinese university students, as well as strategies and measures to improve this competence through curriculum
